BALI HONEYMOON

At the compound you’ll receive a special blessing from the local priest. Then you’ll meet with an astrologer who will use ancient methods to tell you about your life and future.

Next at the compound, learn about woodcarving from a woodcarver; one in an illustrious line of carvers whose skills have been transmitted through family down the centuries. Also participate in the process of making traditional offerings at the temple.

Meet a local cook who will give you a hands-on cooking class and teach you about the use of Balinese ingredients. Take a walk around to see the interesting traditional architecture and layout of the compound before heading back to the house and trying out your delicious dishes for lunch.

After lunch, it’s time to bid farewell to your hosts and return to Ubud, where the rest of the day is fee at leisure.

Drive to the traditional countryside village of Penglipuran with its old entrance gates and unique architecture.

Then see the Mother Temple of Bali, Besakih; the most important on the island. Try delicious, fresh Balinese dishes for lunch at Maha Giri restaurant.

Drive around the peaceful area of Sibetan; passing paddy fields and plantations growing coffee, cocoa and cloves. Go down scenic back roads to Sibetan village to see locals do their traditional weaving. You will also visit a fruit plantation growing the famous ‘Salak’ or ‘snakeskin’ fruit.

Next, you’ll go to the quiet, romantic setting of Paisr Putih Beach (recently filmed for the film ‘Eat, Pray, Love’) where you can swim in the crystal clear waters, relax on the white sands or enjoy a drink from one of the beachside bars. 

Afterwards, your driver will take you check in at your next hotel, in South Bali, where your evening is free at leisure.

Take lunch at the famous Finns Beach Club Restaurant on the beach, and enjoy a post-lunch beachside drink.

Towards sunset, drive to majestic Uluwatu Temple, set on the edge of a steep cliff. Here you’ll see a traditional ‘Kecak’ dance performance; an impressive spectacle as the sun goes down.

Head back to your beach now for a romantic al fresco candlelit dinner.

Option: Indulge yourself at the Talaga Spa with their signature two and a half hour treatment: Magical Coconut. Your feet will be purified with coconut water before you receive a coconut oil body scrub and traditional Balinese healing massage.

Early evening you’ll be transferred to Benoa Harbor for a romantic dinner cruise.

Enjoy the cool breeze on deck as the sun sets and enjoy a dance at the club and the live cabaret. An international buffet will be served on board.
